First of all, I apologize to all of our blog followers for temporarily abandoning the blog logs. The lack of convenient internet accessibility since the arrival of our bundle of joy tends to handicap me from regular posts. As you'll notice, since the birth of Kyliana in June of 2010, the logs significantly began to drop, but I'd like to restart the regular updates, but this by no means is a promise.
Life here is busy. Kyliana is becoming more and more mobile both on her hands and knees and her attempts to leap from a wooden bench to the rebar rocking chairs we have, which pose a serious threat to her immediate safety. We sent one to the neighbors for safe keeping and always try to keep the other ones turned in such a way that she won't fall onto it and gouge out an eye, or puncture her flesh. Even still, the metal rockers seem to lure her on a regular basis.
She also has proven to be one tough cookie. We only have a concrete floor, and although it hurts my knees me to try to follow her in the crawling fashion she leads me with, she hardly seems to notice and gets around at an increasingly rapid speed. And all those little tumbles, falls, and tips rarely phase her (which may not be a good thing?). Although the sound reaching our ears, of head hitting concrete, rarely is followed by a cry, sometimes the smallest little bumps can cause her world to come crashing down and her emotions to follow. However, that is usually when she is tired, otherwise, the wide wonders of exploring the world around her generally easily distract from whatever momentary pain she experiences in the process.
I am also back to teaching English classes 4-5 days a week. This fills my week up pretty quickly. I have more students, about 12 in all now. Sometimes the 2 hours fly by as they easily grasp the lesson at hand. Other days, it trickles by as we struggle through concepts of English. But overall, I do love teaching.
Berea Church is going really well. I feel like I'm getting to know the members more and more all the time, which is always a blast and blessing. It's becoming more and more like a family to me and Nelton and I feel more at home in this country all the time.
Well, looks like my battery life is low and my computer is currently not taking the electricity it's been plugged into. More soon, hopefully.
